ʻAhoʻeitu ʻUnuakiʻotonga Tukuʻaho was born on 12th July 1959. He married Heuifanga Nanasipauʻu Vaea on 11th December 1982. Together they have 3 children:

Tupoutoʻa ʻUlukalala (Heir to the Throne)

Interesting fact:
Prior to becoming King, Tupou served as Prime Minister whilst his brother was Head of State.
